Intern Placement Observations, Week 2

Day 1:

Students learned how to create plaster casts using clay and liquid plaster. The students were shown how to properly mix the plaster with water, how to pour it into the clay molds, and how to remove the cast from the mold. While waiting for the plaster to dry, students watched 2 screenings of documentaries on artists, took notes, then discussed their opinions and thoughts on said artists plus their works. Class was dismissed early due to a student medical emergency that involved all other people present in the work making sure the student was safe until paramedics arrived.
