History of Trololo and Keyboard Cat

The viral video "Trololo" was originally posted in 2009, with the song itself being from the 1970's. In the video, Russian singer Eduard Khil, nicknamed "Mr. Trololo", appears happy on stage while vocalizing instead of singing words. The song's name is "I Am Very Glad, As I'm Finally Returning Back Home", and Khil's rendition without lyrics was intentional. Khil unfortunately died of a stroke in 2012, but his internet legacy remains. In 2017, Google celebrated Khil's 83rd birthday with a Google Doodle.  As of today, the original Trololo video has over 30 million views.

Another viral video known as "Keyboard Cat", occasionally "Play Him Off, Keyboard Cat", was posted in 2007 and the video was filmed in 1984. The cat in the video appears to be playing a electronic keyboard while music plays. The original keyboard cat, named Fatso, died in 1987 but has since been replaced by 2 other cats: Bento, who died in 2018, and Skinny. As of today, the original Keyboard Cat video has over 55 million views.
