First Day of CM410

Today was the first day of CM410 where we discussed old and new media through writing letters as well as by watching Arcade Fire and Chris Milk's "The Wilderness Downtown", an interactive music video. The video can be found here: http://www.thewildernessdowntown.com/. Watching multiple pop ups at one time felt a little overwhelming, but was certainly a creative approach. Seeing my house from a top down view was a bit strange, considering it's practically in the middle of a forest. It definitely put into perspective how long my driveway is. As for the letter portion of class, writing home didn't feel too strange but did feel different compared to when I'm writing poetry. It was difficult to remember the most interesting things that have happened just within the last couple of days.
